Where's the scum board? I'm interested in seeing which of my few posts convinced them I was worth killing.

Where's the scum board? I'm interested in seeing which of my few posts convinced them I was worth killing. I don't think they killed you.

Yeah, they killed me, for purely meta game reasons... And I could have self protected... And why didn't I vote Pleo to protect Texcat? Sorry Story, I messed up my role and someone's bound to notice texcat's faked wincon sooner or later. Darn! Scum board: azraelbats.proboards.com/index.cgiPassword: babyback

peeker hasn't corrected himself. I wonder why. Scum should have killed him last night.

Sach, this may surprise you but I think I would have made the same vote as any other alignment.
The wincons make it clear that Town has to kill PFKs, but not Third Parties. Texcat's PM read to me like it was a PFK - maybe I was influenced by just having seen Batman Begins, but that looked pretty much to me like the villain of the film - who intended to kill everyone in Gotham.
I knew there was a risk that Texcat would kill me, but felt it had to be run.
I tried to exclude what I knew of Hal or Ed from the calculation - how successful I was I'm not sure.
For Texcat - e-mail notifications are ever so useful. I could do a solid read of the last half of the Day and still keep up with new stuff.

I'd like to note that I got one thing right - Bruce Wayne was prepared even for being killed in Arkham Asylum.
Also, Guiri - I'm sorry I did not argue harder against killing you.

Meeko is great. He simply makes the game so much better. Maybe only because I rarely understand a thing he's saying.

So Drain Bead investigated texcat last Night. Her power explicitly identifies only third parties and does not distinguish among Town, Scum or PFK. The PM I sent her read, in its entirety: She has just posted that I told her that texcat was neither third party nor PFK. Role PM skimming is a dangerous thing. Actually, I'm not sure it's simply role skimming. I think a lot of players skimmed the rules and the win conditions. One that irks me in particular: I am familiar with the fact that Pleo likes to make big early moves that make little or no sense to anyone else, and lynching a claimed 3rd Party is a very different thing than lynching a claimed Townie. One is a null on the wincon chart (setting aside any powers) and the other advances the wincon of the other team. Lynching a third party is a mislynch just as much as lynching a townie is. Cookies is a smart player, I don't understand their confusion. Are the win conditions that unclear? There's also been confusion about 3rd party vs PFK vs malicious vs benign. I guess that's another error on my part--assuming players actually understand details of the game they're playing. (I think I make that mistake when I'm moderating as well.) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I also note that DrainBead's 3rd-party investigation and public claim of texcat would've been very helpful for me. I'd still be at high risk from scum Night-kills, but I think I'd not been lynched after that.

I feel really bad about this. I wish I had noticed that there was a miller role (I'm generally against them). Having the name Robin in and of itself is fine, but combined with a Name Cop that's ugh. I feel bad.

Wasn't there a warning that color wasn't going to be operative this game? I think they're jumping on nothing.

If anyone actually reads atpg's roleclaim and compares to the rules, he should be lynched immediately.
His generic claim is role-blocker that, while I realise is a slip in the actual role handed out, should be down as Special and not Role-blocker. Aside from that the re-written parts of the claim are not bad at all.
Oh dear - I wonder if anyone will notice.
@storyteller: Just curious: would you have written it as "victims happen" or "victim happens"

They've already been through that with Texcat's claim, and Story stepped in to say he'd made that error in places. IIRC one of the townies had already stepped forward to say his role was the same, as well.
(To my eyes the unchanged description of Selina Kyle's reaction to the "townies" killing of the original Batman is more of a potential issue. I'm not sure that "you wanted to kill him yourself" is enough of a swerve to justify keeping it. All depends how eager someone is to find something wrong with it, I guess.)

LOTS happening behind the scenes. A brief recap - I'll fill in the details later:
Nanook offered recruitment to Mahaloth; I assume Mahaloth will accept. The Scum did not attempt to recruit anyone.
Most interestingly, BillMc sent a message to texcat. It says, in part: "I tracked Total last night and she visited Astral. - S"
That'll make things interesting.
