Ah, I see. And because Idle has the batsuit and Mhaye was killed, Idle can choose to make a recruitment. It's all coming together for me now.

Working out the game win conditions of town and scum...
D1: 19 town, 6 scum, 5 3rd, 1 pfk. town needs to eliminate 7 players (= 6 scum + 1 pfk); scum needs to eliminate 19 players (= 19 town - 6 scum + 5 3rd + 1 pfk). Town advantage +5 (= 19 - 7*2).
With lynch of 3rd: town 7 (6+1), scum 18 (19-6+4+1). Town advantage +4.
With Day kill of scum: town 6 (5+1), scum 19 (19-5+4+1). Town advantage +7.
D2: 18 town, 4 scum, 3 3rd, 1 pfk. town 5 (4+1), scum 18 (18-4+3+1). Town advantage +8.
With lynch of 3rd: town 5 (4+1), scum 17 (18-4+2+1). Town advantage +7.
D3: 17 town, 4 scum, 1 3rd, 1 pfk. town 5 (4+1), scum 15 (17-4+1+1). Town advantage +5.

So, you're a compulsory vig who's still alive and you follow the idea that compulsory vigs are more of a liability than an asset.
Do you target Idle? It's a convenient cover role for a scum to explain why someone hasn't been Night killed yet. And there's a 50% chance you kill yourself instead of Idle. And even if it the poison fires off, scum are not going to know it has, so they probably still won't risk attacking Idle if he's telling the truth.

I've never had the mindset of thinking vigs are cons to town but I suppose if you really hate the role, he's as good a target as anything.

They probably did what I did and read this much: which intimates that the batsuit allows for the recruitment, block or investigation and skimmed over this part:
that makes it clear only Batman can do that.
Yeah, they're chatting about who they should target with recruitment.

I dunno what Lightfoot's weirded out about. About the only thing anti-town powers could do is NK her town results as she gets them. People are being so overcareful, I can barely stand it.

So, in case Lightfoot and Meeko read the spoiled thread, in meeko's game, we came to the conclusion that in an OPEN game with a doc and an outed detective, the detective shouldn't share results until the doc dies because the doc should be protecting the cop and if the cop lists their town results, scum can pick them off to leave town with only a few confirmeds. This doesn't apply in a closed game.
Now for meeko's statement. Once a HIDDEN cop has about three results, they should consider claiming because that's a nice chunk of information that will aid town and we don't want dying with the cop.
WHY AM I DEAD WHEN I HAVE SO MUCH VALUABLE INFORMATION TO SHARE.

Scum already know who isn't scum. So you releasing the name of somebody that isn't scum isn't going to help them at all or give them any information they don't already have. You're not giving away their role or who they are or anything like that. Not quite. Scum already know who is not scum; that's true. But they don't know who LightFoot can confirm is not scum. That is valuable information. |
