Welcome to the game; you are Psylocke[/i]
REAL NAME: Elisabeth Braddock
YOU LOOK LIKE THIS: ultimatecomics.free.fr/xtreme_xmen/images/xxm_02.jpg
ALIGNMENT: Town
GENERIC: Special
WIN CONDITION: All Anti-Registration forces have been neutralized
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BACKGROUND:
While it might be said that others have led more morally upright lives, and perhaps even more successful lives, it is difficult to imagine many who have led more interesting lives that you. Already you have been a charter pilot, a professional mannequin, a promising telepath, a replacement for the superhero Captain Britain, a brainwashed slave and Trojan Horse for an intergalactic producer of Gladiator reality television, an X-man, and - rather uniquely - a Japanese assassin.
While you have never been what would traditionally be called "evil," you do have a flexible approach to morality that has led you down paths that are typically... frowned upon... by mainstream governments. Can't make an omlette without breaking a few minds, after all.
Four days ago, you were summarily arrested by agents of the international "security" organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. You were shown detailed evidence of some of your more notable crimes, which do include a few events that would technically be classified as "first degree murder" and possibly also "treason." That you were brainwashed at the time of these events, it seems, will be somewhat more difficult to prove. The sentence for a girl of your unique accomplishments is generally summary execution, so that's not particularly good.
But as they often do, S.H.I.E.L.D. had something else in mind. The SHRA Enforcement Team suspected that the Anti-Registration forces of Captain America may make an attempt to disrupt the registration process at Ryker's Island. In exchange for traveling to the Island, registering, and keeping watch on events, you have been offered full amnesty for your past crimes and a position as a paid operative within the organization. Given the alternatives, this seemed like a workable solution to you.
Now Ryker's Island has been cut off from the mainland. From the briefing you have received, you consider it likely that Captain America will make some kind of effort to bring at least one of the nominally Pro-Registration folks over to his cause. Your task is to monitor the assembly and determine if and when this occurs. While you are not under the direct supervision of S.H.I.E.L.D., you consider your best chance at avoiding the electric chair to be to follow the guidelines they have set out for you. Accordingly, you will devote your full attention to this surveillance, and leave the more... antisocial... applications of your skillset to another time.
ABILITIES/POWERS:
1. You will maintain telepathic contact with everyone present, and track the general emotional state of the assembly. If a player changes loyalties, whether by recruitment or some other means, you will know that it has happened (though not who has been affected).
