SPECIAL NOTE
In the common room of the cabin is a smallish, unremarkable writing desk. Resting unopened on the desk is a book. It is an interesting book, aesthetically speaking, bound in what everyone has convinced themselves is light-colored leather and emphatically not human flesh, and written in what folks are fairly certain is ink (they had red pens in the tenth century BC, right?).
All in attendance are well acquainted with this book, if only from the survivor's reports of the last party to be held here. This is Necronomicon ex Mortis, the Book of the Dead, hardbound passageway to the dark and dreadful worlds beyond our own.
Anyone (well, nearly anyone) may take the Book at any time during the Day or by Night. A player may take possession of the Book by sending the Moderator a PM any time during the Day/Night; if multiple PMs are sent to this effect, the Book will go to the first PM received (chronologically).
Once a player has the Book, (s)he will learn more about what it might do.
The catch? There are eyes everywhere. Anyone who takes the book by Day will be seen by all to have taken it. Anyone who takes the book by Night will sacrifice any other Night action they might have to do so, and will also be subject to observation by a variety of interested onlookers.
