Hey...It's going to be hard to learn a great many things about me, but one I'll give you for free... I am no one's son.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the game; you are Robin
REAL NAME:: Jason Todd
ALIGNMENT: Town
GENERIC: Detective
WIN CONDITION: All Scum and malicious third-parties (if any) are neutralized.
BACKGROUND:
You are the second incarnation of the Bat-sidekick known to the criminal underworld as Robin. You're also the first to get beaten to death by the Joker. That was a hard thing to move past, but like the man said... you got better. For a while, you and Bruce had your difficulties getting along after that. Ultimately, you patched things up, though... after all, he's one of the good guys, and so are you.
But Bruce is gone now, given up the field, and in his absence the freaks have proliferated. The streets, never safe, are now lethal, and the night belongs to guys like the Joker.
But now, four years later, Batman is back. You don't know how. Who is it? Bruce, miraculously alive and treating you, again, like a stupid kid who doesn't deserve to know the full story? Grayson, Bruce's favorite? Drake, the choir boy? It doesn't matter, you suppose. Fighting crime alongside the guy in the black rubber suit is where you belong. Nothing to do but find him, and offer your help, whoever he is. Nothing to do but that.
Or.
Or you could not. Four four years you've watched the bad guys murder and steal and worse, unhindered and often even enabled by the supposedly honest citizens of the World's Worst City. Maybe this is just. Maybe this is how it ought to be. Maybe the freaks deserve to own Gotham - and stay there, apart from the decent people. And maybe Bruce, or whoever it is, and his parade of sycophants ought to leave well enough alone.
Maybe Robin needs to find some new friends.
POWERS:
Once per Night, you may investigate a single target, and identify whether (s)he is Scum aligned. Your will be intensely focused on this question alone; you will be unable to identify third-party actors, if any cross your path.
Be warned: certain rare, exceptionally devious targets may foul your analysis and produce deceiving results.
