BACKGROUND:
Gotham City has always been your home, for better or for worse. Sure, it's a giant stinking pit of refuse and despair, presided over by the corrupt and preyed on by the monstrous, where the brightest illumination comes from the floodlights at the toxic waste factories. But for a city-size dump, there are so many interesting things to steal. And around here, it's like they've never even heard of home security systems.
So you've stayed here, on through the years. You could probably be incredibly wealthy by now, but the money you get for the things you steal has always come a distant second to the process itself. So as it stands, you're just a regular wage slave in skintight leather... just like everybody else.
Of course, there's always been a... barrier. The Batman. A constant presence, waiting to confiscate stolen goods, and - worse, much worse - lecture you on your wayward ways. A holier-than-thou, morose, humorless crank determined to rain on every parade. He's been gone for four years now, and your job has never been easier, or more cheerful. Now someone else appears to have picked up the mantle - someone with the same unbearable "principles," no less - and the only thing to do is to get rid of this one, too.
Except.
A holier-than-thou, morose, humorless crank he may have been. But he was your holier-than-thou, morose, humorless crank, you know? And in that tiny, atrophied portion of your brain that Bruce Wayne would have called your "good side," you... liked him. OK? And it grates on you, near to distraction, that this collection of loonies and monsters brought him down. That part of your brain calls for something new: revenge.
To that end, you've joined with the new guy: The Bat Redux. And you'll help him take them down, one by one. And then maybe you'll find a new city, one without a persistent Boy Scout ruining your fun and making you feel feelings.
You hear Metropolis is pretty this time of year.
POWERS:
You may execute the Scum Night kill if you are chosen to do so. If you execute the Scum Night kill, you may not use your primary power, described below.
Once per Night, you may choose a target and steal a key item from them, preventing them from acting for that night only. By the subsequent Night, your target will have replaced the item you have stolen, making them able to act freely... unless you take it from them again.
