Welcome to the game; you are Iron Man[/i]
REAL NAME: Anthony ("Tony") Edward Stark
YOU LOOK LIKE THIS: community.fxuk.com/blogs/fox_insider/Ironman.jpg
ALIGNMENT: Town
GENERIC: Governor
WIN CONDITION: All Anti-Registration forces have been neutralized
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BACKGROUND:
In contrast to those of your more enthusiastic colleagues, your road has always been rather more pragmatic than heroic. You began your career as a professional rich person, inheriting Stark Industries - a multibillion dollar weapons manufacturing firm - from your father at his death. You probably would have contented yourself with a life of vodka, explosions, and easily impressed blondes, but a series of occassionally unfortunate events - heart injury, terrorists, kidnapping, it's complicated - left you the owner of a shiny new armed and armored flying suit, and an untested but equally shiny new conscience.
As Iron Man, you have spent your life since in pursuit of some variety of justice (and, to be fair, in pursuit of more vodka, explosions, and easily impressed blondes). As one of the few of your kind to openly admit your public identity, you have enjoyed a considerable amount of exposure - exposure you relish and enjoy. For better or for worse, you are in many ways the public face of the so-called "superhero." You've used this fame - and millions of dollars of good old-fasioned cash - to establish and nuture powerful political connections, and in turn leveraged those connections into an environment most conducive to success for yourself and for others like you.
When the SHRA began to seem like a real possibility, you used every channel at your disposal to prevent its passage - the anonymity enjoyed by many of your friends is essential to their effectiveness. But after Stamford, you realized that you were fighting a losing battle. Public sentiment overwhelmingly called for registration of heroes with the government, and no amount of star power would change it. You also realized something else: if the "cape" community resisted registration, a frightened public might call for even more Draconian measures in an effort to eliminate the perceived threat.
Once the SHRA was signed into law, Iron Man became its staunchest supporter. It brings you no joy to round up men and women like Steve Rogers and Lucas Cage, and even less to work with the functionaries, S.H.I.E.L.D. opportunists, and other unsavory characters with whom your cause, in part, is associated. But for the good of the country, for the good of the community of which you are a part, you must see that this law is enforced, and that those who flout it - even the ones with white stars on their shields - are neutralized by any means necessary.
ABILITIES/POWERS:
1. As the public face of the Pro-Registration movement - and one of the few heroes whose public identity is widely known - you are familiar to all even without your armor. Accordingly, you will begin the game as mod-confirmed Town.
2. Your commitment to the Pro-Registration cause is firm and unwavering. You cannot be recruited.
3. So long as you are alive, it is your responsibility to set the lynch threshold each Day. As your Night action each Night (beginning Night Zero), you will message the moderator with the percentage of voters who must vote for a given player to secure that player's lynch (to be rounded up to the nearest vote at Dawn). The threshold will be announced in the Dawn post each Day. If you die, this power will be passed to another. If both you and your deputy die, the lynch threshold will thereafter be automatically set at one vote less than that required for a simple majority.
