BACKGROUND:
It was different then. Simple.
You were the heroes. You fought the bad guys.
You pushed them back; you brought them down. The millions watched you do it. Men admired you. Women adored you. It was thrilling.
Then came Stamford. The explosion. 612 civilians dead. Zachary, Dwayne, Namorita, dead. Dead because a bunch of children played at heroism. Dead because you couldn't be asked to answer to anything or anyone, because it was all so much fun. All of them, dead.
Except you. You alone survived the blast - but... changed. You found your powers functioned only in repsonse to pain. You created a new suit. 612 spikes, pointing not outward but inward. You will carry with you 612 points of pain. Sixty of them were schoolchidren; those are the points of pain that will hurt you the most.
You came here to register - to accept the responsibility that the New Warriors never understood. But now you will stand against those who refuse to recognize the obligations their great powers require - but not by doing still more violence. No. You will use your powers to protect, to preserve, and to bring to justice those who try to hide from the light of what is decent and accountable. They, like you, must come to understand that there are consequences to every action.
They, like you, must come to understand penance.
ABILITIES/POWERS:
1. At Night, you may use your ability to channel and control kinetic energy to form a protective shield around players of your choice (including yourself), protecting them from harm. You are not limited to only one protection choice per Night; you may protect as many players as you have kinetic energy to spare. At the outset of this conflict, you have stockpiled sufficient energy to protect two individuals.
2. You may generate additional kinetic energy by receiving lynch votes. As noted above, you begin the game with a total of two protections. For every four votes you receive that are still active at the end of a game Day, you earn the ability to use one additional protection. There is no limit to the number of protections you may earn, nor to the number that you may use on any given Night.
