Well, that's that, as regards Skeez. I would not be at all surprised if it turns out Drain killed him; we'll probably have to direct suspicion toward her in any case, Ed, to keep Guiri and Cookies away from Storyteller for a day until he can be "verified" (though if Pleonast did use the ability on him that he said he did, Story has a plan to claim a power for himself that would explain the effect winding up elsewhere and which is not compatible with HoC membership in any case.)

I seem to recall Guiri saying that Drain had claimed a primary clan, so maybe it was someone else -- regardless, I wouldn't put it past her skills to have used Red's reveal to set something up for herself like Storyteller has with us, so that may not mean much. Cookies could investigate her, perhaps.

In fact, we could buy story some cover there. No one would know we had a 4th member, and we could have 3 primaries when Dawn of Day 3 arrives.

Guiri has Story in the cross-hairs as the HoC who outed and killed Red:

Actually I was suggesting an investigation of one of Story's clan members but, looking at the list of what we know, he actually might be the HoC himself.

Clan A: Drain, Cookies, Story, Peeker. Was this clan ever formalized? You mentioned it sort of died out when Peeker didn't reply. Either way Drain and Peeker declared Primary elsewhere and we trust you, so that just leaves Story.

Clan B: Sinjin, Special Ed, Story. Sinjin apparently has declared too and we trust Ed so that leaves Story.

Clan C: Special, Story, Peeker, Mahaloth. Mahaloth apparently declared Primary and we trust Ed so again, that just leaves Story.

Unless we get more intel about other clan memberships, Story seems to be the only one in his clans who hasn't been ruled out as HoC...

Anyway, once Normal chimes in, we can move this discussion back to our thread.

(He also had a quibble with Ed based on a possible lie, but Cookies was ok with you, and I will be too.)

I think the worst probable outcome of this would be a Cookies investigation followed by Guiri wanting us four to "leash" Story, which wouldn't be all bad; still, it's complicated.

BTW, Ed, if you have time -- before this comes up in the Misfits clan, see if you can get some reports of night ability use requested/commented on there. I'm particularly interested to know if Pleo did in fact attempt to target Story with his vote-canceling ability. Due to my bus driver power, if he did, it should have hit SisterCoyote instead. If Story can plausibly attribute that effect to an ability of his own, it's possible Guiri might talk himself right out of his current conclusion. It also needs to be determined whether Drain has claimed a primary clan. [Edit: Just noticed Guiri says Drain does have a primary clan, so either she's not HoC or she already has someone covering for her.] And, perhaps most important, who *did* kill Skeez? It wasn't Story. Could it have been Drain? Who else knew about Skeez and could have done it?

For now I'm going to chuck in some hasty, "not really thought out" support for an investigation of Story's clan affiliations; anything else would be out of character.

Anyone with a killing power could have killed Red. They didn't need to be HoC.

Guys -

I am really, really sorry, but meatworld stuff is occupying every available brain cell to which I have access right now. If someone is on to me, then it's probably time to make a serious play - grab peeker, pray he can be trusted, and have him redirect Cookies to a different target. I can claim to be Reflective, or something like that. If they catch me, they catch me.

Pinkies is probably HoC if he's firmly declaring BillMc to be non-HoC, I'd think. Dunno.

And incidentally, having protected nphase last Night, I received confirmation that she is not HoC (unless she was cloaking, but at this point between that and the Clan situation I feel confident about both of you now).

Can we draw both peeker and sinjin? That's a group of four, and it leaves no room for a lot of other possibilities, but it's potentially quite powerful. What do you guys think? I should be home around 4PM EST for about an hour, which is the best I can do today.

Redirecting Cookies will not be effective except as a stalling tactic, because she finds clan allegiance -- no one else will have the exact pattern of known clan memberships as you do.

Don't worry too much about it, Story. If Cookies winds up going after you, we hook you into that clan, with or without a different set of people here as well. No big deal.
