Now I have new information, re: Oredigger, and it looks like maybe I was wrong about him. Ed is reporting that Oredigger has claimed to have the power to "reverse the success or failure of a player's night action." So skeezix may be telling the truth about Mahaloth. Mahaloth, in turn, is clanned with me, Ed, and peeker, the Daykiller's main ally.
I don't know how to use this information. I am thinking it may be time to take a risk and reveal to Ed and sinjin, so that we can put four heads together instead of just two. Are you open to that?

Mahaloth is really riding Ed for information, including asking him - direct quote from a board we share - "who do you know for certain is not Master of the Deck?"
And Mahaloth is, according to skeezix, a Day Killer.
Possible Mahaloth is Master of the Deck? Gawd I wish we had access to a legit killing power.
-------
Speaking of powers, should I protect you toNight. I will if you're not covered in some other way, but if you do find alternate coverage that you can trust, there are any number of possible approaches I could take toNight, including killing Skeezix, investigating an unknown, or so on.

On my Board with Ed, we are becoming increasingly convinced that Mahaloth is the Master of the Deck.
And you know what, it really makes sense. If both standard and House of Chains win conditions involve killing the Master of the Deck in order to win, then the Master's wincon must involve wiping out literally, or nearly literally, everyone in the game. To give a player a win condition like that without giving him a kill would be brutally unfair. And in a game like this, with all the protectors and redirectors and blockers and who knows whats floating around, a Night kill wouldn't give such a player much of a chance, either.
But a Day kill? Less blockable, less protect-against-able, just one extra dead guy per Day?
Hey, what if he also has a Night kill? That'd really suck.

"Chain" Mahaloth? What do you suppose Special Ed means by that?

Also, about Pleo -- if I switch you with someone, his ability will mis-fire onto someone else. One idea: if pushed, you could claim to be the bus driver yourself, with some version of my ability, and to have "self-protected" last night. It might get the HoC off your back somewhat if it became known to them, though of course there's a reason I didn't want it getting out widely in the first place.
Ed and sinjin -- I still want confirmation on the details of their handshake. Before or after the sample PM was posted, and did it include the MoDD information? If so, then yes -- drag 'em over here ASAP, as there's tons to think about. Otherwise we should cross our fingers and wait for morning, and the clan list.
Edit: although really, there should be nothing to worry about as regards Ed now, only sinjin. You could invite just him for tonight (provided you get a non-paranoia-inducing response to the "chain" question).

That worries me now, a bit. Hm.

If you possibly can, tell Red that you can make sure he survives the Night if he will do the same for you. Get his protection, then don't give him yours. I'll kill him, and that'll be one down.
I am curious if he will tell the full story, though.

Summary of a *very* long post: Miscellaneous clarification: confusion about Oredigger/Mahaloth is due to Ed not realizing Mahaloth is in the clan Lords of Chaos along with peeker/oredigger/skeez, which clan was named at some point as containing the day killer. On himself: he's under the impression that peeker is driving the bandwagon against him and doesn't appear to know where the source of the information on him is coming from, but feels it is "too right on too many points" to be a fake-out. (What'd you give peeker for evidence, anyway?) He believes that Sinjin is either HoC herself or is in a clan with one, based on how she mentioned the House win condition (I think this must be what you pointed out yourself from the public thread). He will shoot at her tonight. His role claim is Karsa Orlong, Knight in Chains. ***** This is important, is this in your role PM, too? Need to check. "And remember, though you can claim to be clanned with anyone, should someone have the power to directly investigate your clan status, you will be revealed as unclanned to them." That sounds like it means Ulla is *not* HoC, because she does belong to two clans according to SisC. Misinterpretation somewhere? It's a bit ambiguous, with the bit later about counting toward a clan's four-member limit and all. Can you get that cleared up? He stops after that; isn't pushing any course of action. Poor Skeez. I really did hope to work with him this game; I think he's terrific.

If I tell Red I'm going to protect him (or switch him, rather; I'd have to fess up to bus driver) I have to actually do it or I destroy my credibility with Cookies and Guiri.

Skeez is suggesting Ed as an addition/replacement for himself in the Misfits, and he's contacted him directly. (Just got a PM from Ed, to me, Cookies and Guiri, about the situation.) Skeez' position as outed to half the game doesn't really allow him much leeway to do what you have done with me, but this is still getting complicated.

We should let skeez live toNight, if we can, actually. If he plans to shoot at sinjin, great! Either she dies, in which case she was a Member in Chains and her death is great news for us, or she lives, in which case she is not and we can trust her.
I'm going to take a risk and out myself to Ed. We need another representative out there.
