They have day abilities, and neither one is consistent with House of Chains, so neither a roleblock nor a kill would be effective on its face. If either is the MoDD, it would probably have an effect, I think.

Nothing about the role PM would suggest that we get any indication if we target the DeckMaster^TM. However, red could investigate Oredigger or Mahaloth (or peeker, who still makes me nervous) and get us a better read on the threat level from one of them.

People I believe are not Chains at this point:

guiri - his vote power seems confirmable
sinjin - her handshake occured with me before I can find any mention of the Master of the Deck being in our winconditions
total - unless she's playing a fantastic game of pretending, I don't think she is (ask guiri he's seem what I have in the Foolish Dog Clan)
Moley - he claimed the compliment to my secondary power beofre there was any mention of it (also makes me believe he's not the Master of the Deck...oh goodness, unless the master of the deck has access to any and all of our powers...seems kind of fitting) Additionally, he should have another power as I do
Cookies - she returned an indication that Total was in the clan with me, as long as no one had slipped her the name of our clan, it seems a power a chain wouldn't have.

You have total listed as a member of 2 clans, but she had no primary clan. Isn't it true that Chains can join clans, but just not make a primary clan?

Yes, though the chains role PM seems to indicate that when clan allegiance is specifically investigated as Cookies does, that Chains will show up as belonging to no clans at all. Both Skeez and Story are reading it that way, though, Story, I'd still like it nailed down solid by the mods.

No, I expect he just got into trouble too early to manage joining any. He's described as the Assassin of Shadow (same house as me), and he had the role PM and all. Story says he does not have a cover.

I did make one small mistake when I claimed.

I told everyone I was unaligned because that's what wikipedia said.

My actual PM seems to indicate that I am in High House War. Also, apparently, I'm a Virgin.

"The Bonecaster slowly tilted his head. "What you are was created long ago, guided by the hand of an Elder God. Yet, at its heart, Imass. All that follows has run in your blood from the moment of your birth. The wait, Summoner, has been long. I am Pran Chole, of Kron T'lan Imass. I stood, with K'rul, to attend your birth."

You are Silverfox, the first mortal Bonecaster of the T'lan Imass in three hundred thousand years. Housed within you is the soul of two women: Tattersail, a cadre mage in the Malazan Army, and the Sister of Cold Nights, an Elder God. The Sister of Cold Nights amused herself by playing the mortal game and passing herself off as a human. She died as Nightchill, High Mage in the Malazan Army. Tattersail died soon afterwards, consumed along with Nightchill's body in the fires of Tellann, the Elder Warren of the T'lan Imass.

Due to the circumstances of Tatterail's death, the Elder God K'rul was able to able to intervene. With the help of a Bonecaster of the Imass, you were birthed and the souls of Tattersail and the Sister of Cold Nights were placed within you. You were born as the first mortal Bonecaster to the T'lan Imass since the First Gathering 300 000 years before. At the First Gathering, the Imass performed the Ritual of Tellann and transformed themselves into the T'lan Imass, an undead host devoted to the destruction of the Jaghut. In shaping you, K'rul hoped to create the means to finally release the T'lan Imass from the curse they had placed on themselves.

Tattersail was an Adept with the Deck of Dragons, and frequently performed divinations. Although her skill was not enough for you to be able to predict the future with any precision, you will be able to divine the intentions of your fellow Ascendants.

Name: Silverfox, Virgin (High House War)

Powers: Each Day, you can submit to the Authors one statement made by another player that same Day to confirm if the statement is true or false to the best of that particular player's knowledge. Things that player can not know, or questions that are not clearly true of false in nature will be returned as "undetermined". You must submit the statement, the player, and the post number no later than 24 hours before Dusk, at which point the mods will return your result.

Additionally, during the last twenty-four hours of the Day, you can choose a target to whom you will grant the ability to change its Day action should it so desire. (You will want to make sure all Authors are informed of this so there is time to do so.) The Authors will then inform that target that it can change any or all of its currently chosen action for that Day.

One more thing, the Authors in our infinite wisdom have decided to grant you an additional piece of knowledge in the form of a warning: The Master of the Deck of Dragons is an avowed enemy of all the Ascendants and it is his goal to destroy all of you. Until he is killed, you will not be safe. Do with this knowledge as you see fit.

Win Condition: You win when the Master of the Deck is dead, all members of the House of Chains have been eliminated, and your Primary Clan cannot be prevented from killing all other players before all Primary Members of the clan itself is wiped out.

I have a softball game tonight after work (if it doesn't storm), but I was thinking it might be prudent to view other reactions to players when I claimed the lie detection ability.

Also, there is a weakness in my handshake with sinjin. I'll repost all of those for you to review later.

I think it wouldn't be bad at all, and just told him as much. It's good for us either way. The other thing that needs looking at, which Skeez pointed out as well, is reactions to luv -- it was already obvious that the Chains would have more-than-usual interest in an investigator, but I'd totally missed that luv's role claim would have been a really GOOD one for a chains member -- others than just Red may have noticed that.

Ed, at some point you'll get an invite to join me, Cookies and Guiri (and Red), so you'll have access to that board as well.
