It was mentioned in the spoiler boards for LOTR, so anyone paying attention to those would.

That book really has become a major sideshow hasn't it.
So what does Guiri think of the book then and what's going to be the first power used?
Scum had a good first Day as well. Well done to Telcontar for joining up so quickly.

Guiri hasn't said a word about the book so far. He's playing it close to the vest. But I think he's in trouble, because the Scum have him pegged and will out him in a heartbeat in order to stay alive.
Cookies still needs a fake claim, and honestly, I think so does Guiri. I haven't had a chance to write them, because I've been answering about 50 PMs per day related to the game!
I think I'm going to go with the Alien Hunter thing for Cookies. I'll make her Ellen Ripley. Eventually, something is going to burst through somebody's chest, and then it'll be what it is. She is always welcome to devise her own fake claim if she doesn't like that one.
Also, the Town doesn't have a full Vig, so Cookies could claim that.

Drainbead:
Umm...I'm pretty sure sach was town in that one. I can't be arsed to search for it, though.
If my memory is correct, she's not really making much of a point here, either that or I'm misunderstanding her.

I get the feeling that once peekercpa gets lynched, NAF1138 is going to be next in line.

I get the feeling that once peekercpa gets lynched, NAF1138 is going to be next in line. I wonder if Mrs. McGinty will just shotgun NAF toNight and save everyone the trouble. Because if he does, that would end in three Town deaths, most likely - the Scum kill, NAF, and the Alien kill (Cookies has pre-loaded a kill of Omi No Kami).

I'd be surprised if McGinty wastes his one-shot vigkill on NAF. I don't think he sees NAF as scummy and if he does, his reasoning will be that he's a likely lynch, and will want to keep the bullets for a better target, someone he sees scummy but would be hard to lynch.
I bet that he will set a trap on Normal Phase because she claimed having being attacked last night.

Very interesting setup, with some great roles. Love the colour throughout, can tell a lot of work has gone into this one. Think the players are responding, most are very engaged.
6 scum seems a lot to me, even with 30 players, but the shotgun trap has a very good chance of taking out one of them.
Wish I'd been brave enough to post my suspicions before getting spoiled. I was leaning scum on Peeker based on pure meta, and OneAndOnly, Telcontar and Ed all pinged me somewhat, along with Idle Thoughts and Brewha. But really, I had no solid read on anyone (Day 1, I was more suspicious of Mrs McGinty and Naf). Bit of a trend for me though, where I'm better in the early game than later on, when I tend to get bogged down. "That seems a bit off" seems to work better for me than actual analysis.
Agree that the two 3rd parties need covers, duplicating Story's writing style is going to be beyond the vast majority of players.
Good play by Naf to call out Ed.

With Idle claiming investigator, McGinty now has to place a trap on him.
Not sure that I like Idle claiming at this point. I think he could have waited for the next day (or later) and keep touching "safe" targets to confirm them as town, but he's playing his role like he wants to find a scum instead of confirming who are the good guys.

He does. Idle has sort of a love-hate relationship with Mafia. He's actually really good at it - witness how he just sort of casually has nailed Telcontar and Wanderers and Guiri as non-Town - but I think it frustrates him, too. So he kind of always wants to die, but spectacularly and productively, if that makes sense?

Normal Phase is really quite dangerously good at this. The Scum need to deal with her soon, before she manages - between her perceptiveness and her power - to basically leverage them right out of the game. Right now Astral and Nanook are the Scum's great hopes - I think Wanderers and Telcontar now have zero chance of making it to endgame, and does anyone really think peeker or ed will get that far? ed's good, but he attracts suspicion like my screen door attracks those damn stink bugs.
The Scum should start angling toward an endgame of Astral + Nanook basically right now. Save up those Trickster powers. Bus the other Scum. Whatever you need to do.
And forget about Idle. Wanderers and Telcontar are going to be caught eventually - let Idle find one of them and have his victory, then die without you having to deal with it. He can only catch one of them, after all.

The scum need to be careful. With so many targets, it can end up as reacting to whichever threat seems biggest.
It will be interesting to see how Guiri and Cookies react toNight though.

Ok, Night 2 looks like being a lot of fun come morning.
In some ways it could have been worse for the scum, everyone concentrated on Telcontar after he got his kill off and Day 3 is going to be fairly quiet in terms of lynching, although the loss of Astral won't help.

I'm surprised that Astral is not acting for this Day/Night Cycle. Given the number of powers at her disposal, she should be acting every Cycle, one way or another. Hell, just throw Dark Mist on somebody, anybody, to create a little confusion when that player dies.
