And speaking of vanilla Townie roles, we seem to have two. This leads to an interesting effect. In the usual Mafia game, players are assumed to be a vanilla Townie by default. But we can't quite do that here, since there are two roles. We could just assume everyone is one of the two.

But there's another option--we can force everyone to claim Alpha or Beta vanilla. True vanillas will claim truthfully. Power roles and Deadites will have to lie.

Why would we do this?

1. PRO: It will trap Deadites into a claim earlier. This will limit their options for later false claims. Although power roles will have to lie, they will have a true claim to make, and so won't have to worry about furthering the lie. And Deadites falsely claiming power roles are typically easier to catch.
2. PRO: Some pro-Town powers may be able to target or detect specific vanilla roles. This will make it easier for the lying Deadites to be caught earlier. CON: This net may also catch power roles.
3. CON: Some Deadite powers may be able to target specific vanilla roles. We'd be feeding them what the need to know. Furthermore, this may make it easier for them to distinguish truthful vanilla roles from power roles who've lied about their redshirt status.

On the whole, I think it's probably not a good idea to reveal vanilla type at this time. But I think we need to keep it in mind for later in the game, once we have more information available to evaluate the pros and cons.

4. CON - Since Predator and Freddy can only kill certain people, you will narrow the pool of targets they'll have to pick from. Chances are good that Predator will find a strong character in the Jock pool (100% for town Jocks, 50% for deadites and Power roles, and 0% of the nerds you aren't supposed to kill) and the flipside applies to Freddy.

Although, to add, it will be interesting since the split isn't quite 50/50 between available targets for each. It makes one wonder how many liars will try to keep the numbers balanced when they claim.

Masons don't have a board, do they? I must say they're playing it well without the coordination. Though, ped seems to be tipping his hand a bit too much. He seems angry, and I don't remember him ever getting angry.

Oh, and I think my disembodied head should keep coming back to bug everybody each dawn--each time more and more mangled from the previous attempts to get rid of me.

I'm probably going to bug Pleonast about this after the game, but why did he go after a fellow mason at the start of game?

I'll be honest and say I would have done exactly the same thing as well, seeing as I did it to Nanook in Conspiracy 2.

Then again, I guess no-one is going to expect him as the other mason and the response he got from JSexton was worth it, especially if the town follows it up.

It will be interesting to see if the other scum talk him out of it, or if they go with it. Major bonus for them if they do.

Can you allow sign ups for the PFK board please or create a spectator account. You have currently disabled it and signing in as Cranky the Elf would be a bit misleading.
