That was a fun read.
I appreciated a few of the references to the first game. The Questionable Hillbilly became Original Ash, and the Virginal Beauty went frokm the roleblocker to vanilla cover role. I'll be amused if Ash claims and gets lynched on the grounds that last time it was a Deadite cover PM.
Once again, though, the Deadites get minced in the early days.What is it about ED?
Cokkies role as the Alien also raised a snigger, since Peeker was Predator in ED1. (And, incidentally, got lynched on Day 2 then.)
Now all I really want to know is, why did I get killed? Any chance of reading the Deadite board to find out?

Hey guys! Fun game you've got going on, Story. Shame I couldn't have played longer in it.
Somebody asked about why I wasn't using my powers. 1, this is still only my second game of mafia. I'm not quite comfortable enough to decisively choose my own actions quite yet. I asked the other scum, and they told me to hold onto them, so hold onto them I did!
2, I didn't expect to die at all! That took me totally by surprise. I was positive nobody suspected a thing.

I don't think anyone was on to you, per se. Guiri killed you; I don't know why, as he didn't share his thought process.
He is targeting One and ONly Wanderers toNight, by the way, which would make him the most successful Vig in history except he's actually a PFK.
And except for the fact that Drain Bead's about to wipe out all actions for Night Three.

Crap!
Guiri came over to this board and found a backdoor into the setup thread (he did a search on my posts and was able to access the setup thread without entering password information). He saw that Cookies was third party and saw her role name.
I think he'll have to be modkilled. I could replace him, but it's so far into the game and the role is such a complicated one that it seems like that would be crappy.

Actually, the SK in M2 was quite successful if I recall correctly. Also that SK was explicitly hunting for scum. Is Guiri scum hunting? Or is she using some other criterion for her selections? |

Also, I don't understand why people quote the extra stuff. Just quote the text. Click the reply button on the PM then cut and paste. Cutting and pasting the headers is really fucking Mahaloth over.

I think you can get away with a replacement on the grounds its not too far in to the game. IIRC Night 3 is the cutoff for some games. But unless you can get a replacement, I think Guiri is going to have to be modkilled. |

Well, Oy! is the only one being reasonable about Mahaloth's role pm. There really isn't any reason for the mistake at all. Even if Mahaloth were scum, he would have access to correct storyteller headers from his PM's with storyteller. Hell, he could cut and paste the header from ANY PM from storyteller, even one chatting about football, then append the 'fake' role.
I don't blame the Town for being paranoid, but there really is no reason for the anomaly. I'm curious as to what really happened. If storyteller's subscription expired this week, he should publicly state so.

I don't know that my subscription has expired (I haven't gotten a notice or anything), but I'm showing up as a Guest so I guess it has. Dammit, I'm really blowing it as a moderator here.
I've posted a sub request in the unspoiled forum; we'll see if anyone takes the bait. You're all right, it's not really that late in the game - it just feels it because there have been so many posts!
Now, is there some way I can make it so that players can't search my history, or so that unspoiled players can't get into these boards at all? Can I password protect the entire forum somehow?
