I do want Town to win but Texcat deserves a medal here, she has played a brilliant game. I would hate to have a game with her when she was scum, unless I was on her team. Great play Texcat!

I was thinking today [It hurts when I do that].
Should I have claimed my role, verbatim, ASAP?
The Idea being, if I claimed that early, I could have maximized* my role.
*I could have toggled back and forth as the game called for it, and in so doing, actually have gotten my 1:1 trade that I wanted, thus, getting to play everything I was given.

On Day 1, when you still had hope of being targeted by the Scum, you should have kept quiet about your role, and tried your best to hunt Scum using good old-fashioned vanilla methods, in the hope that they'd find you threatening enough to kill you. Which is also good play for almost anyone, of course.
By the end of Night 1, though, we already had enough claims and confirmations that Scum would always have had some target more valuable than you, and we probably should all have just mass-claimed on Day 2 or 3.

The only time I claim early is if I have found a scum and in this game I was wrong. They don't call me Flaky Jan for nothing. I hardly ever make it to the end, I think I have done it once but the fun is in playing. I can't make lists, it bores the hell out of me, I play with a gut feel and only if I really need to make a case do I go back and try to do all them horrid quote stuffs, you do that naturally and you are good at it, I rely on your info. So no more turning yourself upside down and inside out, you played your game to the best of your ability and now it is up to the rest of our team to win (or not).

Oh, by the way, hilarious post from Pizza over on the Scum board, a couple of days ago:
Town finally get it right, and Pizza thinks that's self-destruct.

What are the chances Gadarene targets Bill tonight? A no kill night would help the town huge...although Bill's got enough townie cred he might still pull it out for the scum anyway.

Gad (correctly) believes that Bill is the messenger and is non-Town-- He might actually guess that he's a secret scum. And it'd be silly for him to target anyone other than Scathach, who is after all confirmed non-Scum and is known to be an investigator.

I haven't been posting all of the messages, but Bill has contacted Gadarene and revealed literally everything: his role, his alignment, and his guesses about the gamestate. Incidentally, Bill has basically had the entire gamestate diagnosed 100% for about a Day and a half now, down to SBrown being both third party and Roosh. ToNight, Bill is going to contact SBrown/Roosh and propose that he (Roosh) join Bill and Gadarene in voting early for a Townie, which would result in a mislynch and the end of the game.
The problem is, I'm not sure Roosh will go along with it. He's justifiably paranoid about the message-sender.

There's a larger issue, though, which is that Gadarene appears to have completely disappeared. He hasn't signed on to the Scum board or (as far as I can tell) the main game board since early in Day Seven. If he doesn't submit a kill order at all, it's going to screw Bill even worse than Gad's inaction during the Day.
Anyone know anything about where Gad might be?

He is currently active on the SMDB, I would suggest dropping him a PM.

OK, sending Gad the message is ballsy, but it makes sense, if he's really, really confident that he's right about Gad. I don't see the logic in telling SBrOwn, though-- The thing is, he could win by siding with Scum, but he could also win by betraying them. Either way, he wins, and he's just deciding which side he likes better. And of course the "side with Scum" option is also risky in that it depends on non-Town all getting their votes off before Town.

Re: sdmb -- gad not posting here, story not posting there; everything's topsy turvy. Re: bill having the game diagnosed to a T -- entirely predictable.
