If Joker and Ra's are both taken out in Cycle 1, this game is going to be a long slog to the end.
And town will win.

I hate when things like this happen to a game. I hope it turns out all right anyway.

It's funny. I'm reading this board before checking the game board and I'm totally confused. Something apparently happened, but I don't know what. It's kind of fun following the game this way.

If Joker and Ra's are both taken out in Cycle 1, this game is going to be a long slog to the end. And town will win. ...not necessarily. Remember, if texcat dies, guiri (as Talia) has the chance to take over the Serial Killer role. The net number of killers will not change if he does - and I think he will. I really don't know how this is going to play out. Pleonast, remember, has to get his Day kill in before Day's end, and has intimated that he won't be around close to end of Day. The Town could easily wind up messing around, Pleo could submit a kill of Hal or a no-kill and then vanish; the Town could subsequently lynch Pleonast and lose Hal. ToNight Dirx will probably kill Ra's, though there's no guarantee of this.

If Joker and Ra's Al Ghul are taken out in cycle 1, would you try your own luck or join the town, if you were Talia?
In other news...any think we can hit 30 pages before the end of Day 1?

If Joker and Ra's Al Ghul are taken out in cycle 1, would you try your own luck or join the town, if you were Talia? Ha - whoops. That was one of my last-minute tweaks before I started the game. I didn't change it here, but I changed it in my big spreadsheet. It didn't seem fair for Talia to default to Town. Her choice will be to become a Serial Killer or become a recruitable third party (thus recruitable to either Town or Scum). Given that choice and the current gamestate... well, I'm not sure which I'd pick. But probably the Serial Killer one. And I think guiri will go with that one just because it's more fun.

Guiri's played a serial killer-ish role before and did well (that one could win with town under the right circumstances, and did), so I wouldn't be surprised.
The third parties that are recruitable (which I'm assuming is just the three that appear to be survivors?) don't know it yet, correct? Assuming so, would Guiri know? If it appears to him as just a choice between SK and survivor I can't see him picking the latter.

URGENT REQUEST FOR ADVICE:
Pleonast has asked to submit a contingent power request - specifically, that he will target Ed if he (Pleonast) is the lynch leader and whichever non-Pleonast player has the most votes if he is not.
Should I allow this? It feels wrong, but I can't think of a reason not to.

P.S. I'm going to start posting communications from the players. I just put one up. Just know that there's a very small secret about one of the players that might be spoiled if you read it.

Forget it's Pleonast -- would you allow contingent orders for any other day -resolving powers, like if someone wanted to use a power on someone who was at risk of lynch? If so, allow this.
(Edit: the only slight issue with that might be the unspecified alternative kill (second in line for the lynch) -- typically with contingent orders you give an actual name. But Pleonast is promising to do this as terms of his parole, surely *would* do it if actually around to send orders ... I'd probably let it go if I were allowing contingent orders in the first place.)

And about the slight spoiler: LOL! I assume he told you when he signed up? How funny.

Hee. Yeah, he did. Pollux Oil, who is his real life friend, has already guessed. I don't think anyone else has.

I'm kind of hoping that we're going to approach the Arkham 1 record for most posts in Day One, but I think we're going to come up six or seven pages short. Oh, well.

You'd think the screen name might twig a few people to it eventually. What did Pollux say?

Oh and Ullz' PM reminds me I laughed when I saw Pizza's assessment of TexCat's reaction to Pleonast being indicative of her being a member of "the smallest team in teh game -- the scum". Ha! More right than he knew.
