And now texcat is going to kill mhaye. The Scum are getting just the worst luck so far.

Wait, what? What did he do? Read the scum boards. Idle wants to use his double kill tonight and be outed tomorrow.

So what should I do? If Idle does this, and Mhaye dies, I might as well just call the game. Should I force-sub him?

So what should I do? If Idle does this, and Mhaye dies, I might as well just call the game. Should I force-sub him? If Idle does it, he will not be popular, but it is his choice and that is what these games are about, the choices people make. Also, if you call the game, who do you call it for? The town, the scum, the 3rd parties or just call the game off completely as a wasted effort? Finally, never underestimate the ability of the town to extract defeat from the jaws of victory. Best chance is to ask if he will accept a sub.

Oh and you need to put a note about the end Time for Night powers. I would suggest putting something up that all powers have to be in by End of Night deadline as stated, but that Day 2 will not be starting until you are ready.

Surely Idle isn't this dense.
He must know the power is designed to be used when you're likely to be lynched the next Day anyway or if you need a double NightKill to take control of the lynch, or in an extreme case, if you need to take out a PFK who might win and a Townie. To give up a mislynch, at this point in the game, when you're just guessing is just ridiculous.
And to not see it as quitting is also ridiculous.
Just because he can do it doesn't mean he should do. I mean, in American football, a quarterback can take the snap and drop to a knee to give himself up. If he does it on the first play of the game, that's jsut stupid and hurts his team.

Hell, we'd be 1000 times better off if he'd told us this earlier and then claimed in the game thread. We could have lynched him, we'd still have Pleo and myself in the game, and maybe gotten rid of texcat as well.

All I'm gonna say is that at this point I'm really pissed off on Story's behalf, and that of most of the players in the game.

Idle has withdrawn his request, at least for now. He's investigating sinjin instead, using the Batsuit.

OK, so just in case Storyteller doesn't show up, maybe we could hurry things along ourselves? One of the Scum can post here to tell us who you targeted, and then that person can tell us who they were and obligingly die. If Chronos only knew how close this almost came to happening anyway...

So Drain Bead investigated texcat last Night. Her power explicitly identifies only third parties and does not distinguish among Town, Scum or PFK. The PM I sent her read, in its entirety:
She has just posted that I told her that texcat was neither third party nor PFK. Role PM skimming is a dangerous thing.
I thought briefly about intervening, and then figured - you know what? People need to read their own PMs. Texcat has new life now; she could last a long, long time.

It's kind of depressing when people fail to read their role pms. It's also depressing when a scum team is getting picked apart by bad luck. I will say, however, that I misread it--Tex is not a third party but could still be a PFK. clap clap clap someone read their role pm.

MHayes death doesn't seem like bad luck to me. When he voted for texcat, I felt it was risky. I'm spoiled and all, but he really was putting his neck out. It was bad luck that pleo got lynched, but the consequences of MHayes vote look like regular play to me. I'm not surprised at all the texcat killed MHaye. It was the most reasonable and defensible and townie looking kill for her. That's a good job for a pfk serial killer. Everyone will still be paranoid about her, but she played night one really well!
I guess I'm saying, Ed was bad luck. MHaye made his own bed.

I didn't realize we had a miller. That will be interesting. Makes sense in light of lightfoot's confusion about good guys. We probably should have put a warning in lightfoot's pm. But his confusion might actually work for him. At this point it can't hurt. He will probably get lynched, but MHaye's reveal will be a help to lightfoot too. Interesting.
